IBM’s 12-atom bit

IBM have been investigating how to control matter on an atomic scale for years. Latest research show that it is possible to store 1 bit in only 12 atoms. This means that we are able to store about 100000 more information in the same space as we do today. This means also that we are reaching the physical limits of matter.
